"All Hail The New Flesh"

Man has evolved a lot over the last few hundred years. Once humanity directed itself towards the purpose of driving itself to be better at survival the changes were rapid.
The problem with technology capable of changing humanity is where to stop. Direct Genetic Engineering of the human genome, genegineered symbiotes and medical nanotechnology, both physical reconstruction and nano-symbiotes, can do an awful lot.

The goal of the LAW is the enhanced survival of the human race and terran biosphere. They have learnt a great deal. Humans are less likely to meddle where they don't belong, tampering assuming they are doing the right thing then later discovering they have merely helped their greatest enemy (such as the mistakes of antibiotics). Nature has a perfect model for finding the mechanisms that improve a species survival.
Evolution.
A few hundred years, more or less, of forced evolution. Survival of Fittest in a harsh environment of constant war. Constant change and variation has been thrown in, not just by the normal means of sexual genetic shuffling and mutation but also by genetic engineering.

The base level human has to be more capable of survival and not a threat to themselves or society. Passing on their superior traits to offspring, even in some cases to loved ones.

Everyone born to the GECT is more powerful, efficient, smarter, tougher and faster than at any time in human history. If they weren't they would be dead.

Human skeletal structure is 50% denser and much stronger than a Nat. Long chain carbon fibres wrap the bone and handle stress from all directions. The bone itself is a ceramic matrix far stronger than 20th century structural materials. Highly rigid yet flexible under otherwise fracture loads.

The marrow not only handles its 'natural' role but contains stem cells capable of regenerating any organ or tissue. Even without nanotech builders any part of the body can regrow given time, from a scratch in the skin to a limb or new eye.
The marrow is also the source of most of the symbiotes, both living and nanite.

The enhanced musculature makes full use of the superior leverage of the skeletal system with fibre reinforced tendons, joints and muscle cores. Twitch rates are optimised for tasks. All muscles are stronger, including the hearts (there is a secondary backup).

The hosts DNA is constantly kept clear of glitches that may otherwise be rampant in the ever regenerating body. Cancers, age damaged cells, foreign virii, nanites or other impurities are attacked by a multilayered immune system.

Enhanced cell mitochondria convert food to energy more efficiently with less waste heat. The blood electron chain transports oyxgen far better than mere natural haemoglobin. The metabolism is constantly at the optimum level for whatever activity and is capable of shifting in seconds.

The blood is teaming with specialised nanites, such as those that greatly speed healing. Pinning tissue into place, cutting apart dead flesh. Even after normal exertion these nanites help muscle and tendon recovery.
Arteries and other vessels are ringed with muscular pumps and sphincters. Pushing blood through or cutting it back in case of injury. Along with healing nanties shock and blood loss are almost obsolete terms.
Can control sex drive and ovulation at will using bio-rythmic control.

Skin is thickened with layer upon layer of flexible, strong chitinous plate more effective than a kevlar bullet proof vest (and with similar material properties).
Temples, genitals, throat, solar plexus, exposed tendons and arteries and other normal vulnerable points are wrapped in their their own extra plate or muscle, are retractable or have been otherwise modified.
Microscopic genengineered skinmites and nanites roam the skin constantly even trimming hair and nails as desired.
Teeth no longer decay from the actions of bacteria in our mouths but are hardened by them.

The senses are enhanced and self correcting and filtering.
Vision works from high levels of glare to extremely low levels of light, with distance vision nearing any animals.
Hearing is acute and is capable of picking a single voice from a crowd.
Smell is nearly as effective as a dogs.

Lung surface area is increased and optimised to pull the most oxygen out of the air. It is self filtering and scouring to remove impurities and damaged surfaces.

The brain is even improved. As long as it is stimulated it never degrades. New neural connections are sprouted and pruned at a nearly constant rate equal to puberty. Memory is vastly enhanced through improved neurochemical balances and a genetic memory system retrieving vast amounts of memory that had been stored before birth. Highly effective when combined with the intelligently designed education system and force learning technology.
General neuron axons are faster, with wider channels and superior conductive material, vastly improving reflexes.

Human diet is more than just omnivorous. The digestive system is capable of consuming nearly any material that contains the elements required for survival and disposing that which is extraneous or even harmful. Even in a limited environment the system degrades gracefully, keeping the body alive, even if not at optimum. Genetic memory means everyone knows exactly what they need to eat and how much. Of course with public matter compilers readily available not many need to experience living on dirt and carrion, but they could.

Even without food at all concious hibernation is possible. Theoretically the body can stay alive untended for near a millenium.

Most systems have redundancy. Blood floating nanites backed up by marrow nanofactories, backed up by symbiotic bacteria backed up by normal cell function backed up by tamed virii. If can can be done naturally it is. If a nanite can help it does. The many changes and extra helpers in the body are too numerous to mention.

Of course these are only the overwhelmingly most common enhancments to humans. Natural variation still exists, if anything to a larger degree than ever. Some people are closer to 'natural'. Some deliberately. Even genetic technology needs 'backups' in case they need to return to an older path.

Some people (especially soldiers of the medical conglomerates) have an even larger deviation. Genetic mutations making them more like beasts or using even completely alien or artifical DNA. Perhaps that shall be the more common path of humanities genetic future. If that adaption is what helps us survive our environment better, that is evolution.

On top of these natural enhancments we have our electronic systems. Often as tightly integrated with the body as any more visceral system, in ways the main difference being the inability to directly pass them onto our offspring, of course with most humans being built from the matter compiling vats this difference is increasingly academic.

Once back in home territory the body is enhanced even more by the meditech nanites that are not contained in the body. Allowing even more rapid repairs, modifications or even reconstruction.

Human sex drive still exists. Attractive females have been found to be excellent assasins as they are distracting to the undisciplined. Razor girls.

Natural childbirth is respected as involves allowing natural evolution full control. Also as it is hard and requires a lot of resources. Those that make it all the way are respected and so are the parents, quite a status symbol.

Some gangs, the more violent purely destructive ones, dont have them. Why bother wasting the resources on a such a gamble? They tend to have vat bred males purely.

Old born tend to be superior at social interaction through associations with humans made in the womb. They have a slightly more variable genetic makeup. also those who actually grow up rather than being force taught and grown in slumberland tend to have slightly more rounded social skills. Most of their schooling is still force taught.
