A truely just moral code balances all equally causing no harm to any and benifiting all.

All groups see themselves as moral and correct. Their priorites just differ.

The Sensai attempt to balance all equally, in general these wise men (and presumably creatures of other races) are regarded as good. But would they be regarded as good by the man they killed to save a town?

Hackers tend to value the individual most highly.

The LAWs highest priority is humanity. Closely followed by the biosphere. Beyond these it is content to allow a virtual anarchy, relying on the responsibility of the individual and smaller groups. Generally a highly evolutionarily moral organisation even if often regarded as indifferent or tyranical.

Corporations care about themselves and that which directly feeds them. Their alliances, the economic system, their clients and their workforce. A corporation may well see itself as more important than the planet they live on, but the LAW has taught corporations a greater breadth of vision than that.

Humanity cannot survive if all life is dead. The individual has more freedom and power in a society. The corporation is useless without humans as its market and workforce.

Any aspect must spend its resources to protect itself and ensure its survival. Any spare are to be used to protect those close (either lower and higher) to it. Efficient use of resources allows a wider distribution of resources to related aspects which feed back to enhance survival. Greed helps only a single aspect and usually less efficiently than passing on those excess resources along the chain.

For example: the LAW is actually a small self sufficient organisation. It spends its resources to help humanity. Left overs go to enhance the biosphere, the aspect deemed to give the most feedback to humanity. Then Corporation resources are bought, planets settled, cities built (often by corporations), the individual paid (by the law and corps)

At the other end of the scale, an individual who has the resources to survive (food, shelter, defenses) then is best off spending their resources to enhance the survival of their family or gang and other larger social structures they are part of, Company, city, government etc. It acts as a backup distributed storage mechanism.

As a person is more 'moral' ie helps those other than themselves, even if killed they are more likely to be returned to life by nanotech reconstruction if others think them worthy.
